BALLET
Ballet is a classical dance form known for its grace, precision, and expressive movements. It combines flowing choreography with strong, disciplined technique, often performed to classical music. Ballet tells stories through movement and has been a foundation for many other dance styles.We also offer RAD exams.
JAZZ
Jazz dance is a high-energy, expressive dance style that combines sharp, rhythmic movements with fluid technique. It blends elements of ballet, modern, and street dance, often performed to upbeat music. Jazz emphasizes individuality, style, and musicality, making it both dynamic and fun to watch or perform. We offer Broadway and Commericial Jazz as well as traditional Jazz Technique Classes
LYRICAL / CONTEMPORARY
Lyrical and contemporary dance are expressive styles that blend elements of ballet, jazz, and modern dance to tell a story or convey emotion through movement. Lyrical focuses on fluid, graceful motions that interpret the lyrics and mood of a song, often emphasizing emotion and connection. Contemporary is more abstract and experimental, combining controlled technique with freedom of movement, floor work, and creative expression.
Both styles highlight emotional depth, musicality, and artistic storytelling.
HIP HOP
Hip hop dance is a vibrant and energetic street style that originated from hip hop culture. It features freestyle movements, strong rhythms, and sharp, dynamic choreography. Known for its attitude, creativity, and individuality, hip hop includes styles like popping, locking, and breaking, and is often performed to rap, R&B, or funk music. It's expressive, powerful, and constantly evolving.
MUSICAL THEATRE
Musical theatre dance is a theatrical style that combines acting, singing, and dancing to tell a story on stage. It draws from jazz, ballet, and tap, with movements that are expressive, character-driven, and often dramatic or humorous. Every step helps bring a character or scene to life, making it both entertaining and emotionally engaging for audiences.
ACRO
Acro dance (short for acrobatic dance) is a style that combines classical dance technique with precise acrobatic elements. It features smooth transitions between dance and tumbling moves like backbends, handstands, aerials, and walkovers. Acro requires strength, flexibility, balance, and control, creating visually impressive routines that are both graceful and athletic.
HEELS
From ages 12 and up, we offer heels classes for our kids who want to challenge themselves. Often seen in music videos and live performances, heels dance focuses on empowerment, precision, and body control.
TAP
Tap dance is a rhythmic dance style where dancers create sounds and beats by striking the floor with metal plates on their shoes. It combines intricate footwork, timing, and musicality, often performed to jazz, swing, or upbeat music. Tap is both a visual and auditory art form, turning the dancer into a percussive instrument.
